Family & Community
Reconnect with Nature, Family, and Community
At La Forêt du Dragon, we believe that true resilience comes from the bonds we form with each other and the world around us. Whether you’re looking to reconnect with your family, discover new skills in nature, or explore ways to live more authentically, our offerings provide the space to do just that.
Family and Community at the Heart of What We Do
In today’s fast-paced world, it can be hard to truly connect with our loved ones. That’s why we’ve designed immersive family experiences and community-centered activities that foster deeper connections with each other and nature.
Family Weeks at La Forêt du Dragon
Our family weeks allow you to step out of the noise of modern life and into the tranquility of nature. Together, you and your loved ones will experience:
- Nature Hikes with Goats and Pony: Explore the forest with the gentle companionship of our animals.
- Gardening & Wild Remedies: Learn sustainable practices such as planting trees or identifying wild, edible plants.
- Open Fire Cooking & Bread Making: Gather around the fire to cook meals, bake bread, and share stories.
- Crafting & Bushcraft: Learn to make spoons and other items from natural materials.
- Swimming & Picnic Days: Enjoy a relaxing day by the natural lake, followed by a picnic in the serene forest.
- Local Markets and Arts & Crafts: Explore the charm of nearby medieval towns, and get creative with arts projects.
We aim to help families rediscover the joy of simply being together, in harmony with nature, and away from everyday distractions.
Community Building: Shared Meals & Gathering
Our communal events, such as the Auberge Espagnol (communal BBQ), bring families and guests together to share meals and stories. It's a warm, welcoming way to bond, learn from others, and contribute to the growing sense of community at La Forêt du Dragon. We're also working on creating a dedicated communal space to enhance these shared experiences.
