Ever wondered what it takes to grow your own food? Would you like to work together with others in creating an vegetable garden? This is the perfect workshop for you.

What to expect from this gardening workshop?

Marjo and Melissa have years long experience with growing their own food and are happy to share their knowledge. At this moment (wintertime) we are preparing the beds for the vegetable garden so we can start planting our first vegetables in april 2024. There are no vegetables planted yet, this will be the first time. During this workshop you work with us and gain insights in:

• Permaculture basics: Introduction of the fundamental principles of permaculture, focusing on its application in a vegetable garden context. We'll cover concepts like biodiversity, companion planting, soil health, and water management.
• Seed starting and planting: We will guide you through the process of planting seeds and discuss different seed types, planting depths, spacing, and timing for various vegetables to ensure successful germination and growth.
• Companion planting: We will explain the concept of companion planting and its benefits in a vegetable garden. 
  
• Bed preparation and soil health: How to prepare garden beds effectively during the wintertime for optimal plant growth in spring. We'll discuss techniques for soil improvement, such as composting, mulching, and incorporating organic matter to enhance soil fertility and structure.

We welcome any questions you have about creating a permaculture garden and can't wait to delve you into the wonderful world of gardening. 

Exchange & accommodation 

We ask for a contribution of € 189,- including a campingspot and healthy organic, local and vegetarian food: 2x breakfast, 2x lunch and 2x dinner. We are located in a natura 2000 environment and it would be a pity if you'd only come over for 2 days! We have a camping, a tipi, birch room, Tiny House, or Stone House available. Let us know your preference and we'll discuss availability. In case you'd stay at our place for 7 days we have the following prices and accommodations:

• Tiny House: € 553- 
• Stone House: € 350,-
• Birch Room: € 210,-
• Tipi: € 210,-
• Camping: € 52,50
